Lab Director

Keyne C. Law, Ph.D. (she/her)

Dr. Law is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology at Seattle Pacific University. Her research interests focus primarily on mechanisms, processes, and systems that contribute to suicidal behavior. Specifically, she is interested in using self-report, behavioral, biological, and ecological approaches to examine out how a person becomes motivated and capable to act on suicidal thoughts. She is also passionate towards innovation and interdisciplinary collaborations to enhance the suicide research field.

 

Dr. Law received her BA (Hons.) from Simon Fraser University in 2013. She subsequently graduated with her PhD in the Clinical Psychology Program at the University of Southern Mississippi, under the mentorship of Dr. Michael Anestis. Dr. Law completed her pre-doctoral internship with the Charleston Consortium at the Medical University of South Carolina. She is also a Licensed Psychologist in the state of Washington.

 

Outside of her research activity, Dr. Law also engages in a number of community outreach projects focusing on suicide awareness and prevention. 

 

Dr. Law will be taking graduate students during the 2021-2022 application cycle.
